:: To Blair Atholl
At the end of August, Lottie and I will visit the Blair Horse Trials in Scotland. I'm quite looking forward to it. We'll probably go up by train, but as I now have a CBT I did wonder what it'd be like to ride up on. This route avoids motorways as I'm not allowed on any, but it doesn't avoid the Yorkshire Dales. That should make it a more interesting journey. It also goes via Newcastleton and Edinburgh for pit stops in places I know I'd be welcome. But err.. It takes 9 hours and 35 minutes apparently to cover the 321 miles between my local pub and Blair Castle. And that's not taking into account fuel or rest stops! I wish I lived in the Borders already, it would be so much more fun!
