My favourite club, NEC of Nijmegen – not coincidentally my home town – today lost the cup final 0-1 to Roda JC. It really quite sucks, having followed their games over the radio at work, having discussed them over lunch breaks and all, for them to lose it. It'd be alright maybe, had they lost against PSV, Feijenoord or Ajax. But Roda JC hail from Kerkrade, a small town in the Limburg province. I've never liked them at all, but this does it! I mean.. Their shirts are yellow and black, just like NEC's main rivals Vitesse of Arnhem. They come from a very remote town in the most 'backward' province.. And loads of Belgians play in their squad. I loathe Belgians. Well, not all of them I suppose, but the ones playing in yellow and black, hell yes.
